Earlier this week, Christine Becker (who runs the cool blog News for TV Majors) introduced me to a Storify, “a way to tell stories using social media such as tweets, photos and videos. You search multiple social networks from one place, and then drag individual elements into your story. You can re-order the elements and also add text to give context to your readers.”
Sounds easy enough. I’ll try it out with some of my favorite Oscar tweets/snark:
Storify is clean, attractive, and easy to use, but I’m not sure it will work for me — or at least for my weekly Favorite Student Tweets. For instance, the platform allows users to insert text above or below their tweets, videos, etc., but no pictures (I would’ve liked to include a picture of Valentino’s face or one of Cate Blanchett’s dress to accompany the funny/snarky tweets). Also, I’m not a fan of the “like” Facebook banner at the top of the “story.” But other than those minor drawbacks, Storify is worth a look.

Thanks for taking a look at Storify and for your post! You most definitely can add pictures along with video and anything else from the Web into a story. You can search Twitter for photos or Flickr as well.
Please let us know if you need any further assistance with how to do that.
No problem. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
